Paper Bike, ME310 - Global Design Thinking [Sep'24]

I along with my three teammates designed and built a bike totally made of paper and paper products. We used the bike to play polo and won the match. Demonstrated practical application of engineering principles, including material strength, structural design.

XY Compliant Traverse Stage for Automated Microscopy [Aug'23 - Nov'23]

This is my Bachelor Thesis Project on designing and manufacturing of a XY traverse stage for automated microscopy application. Through this project I gained an understanding about compliant mechanisms and topology optimisation. I also gained hands on experience of designing and manufacturing using 3D printer. My thesis supervisor is Prof. Aditya Bandopadyay.

Continuum Robotic Manipulator [Sep 2023 – Present]

Developed a prototype for a tendon-actuated continuum robot with two independent extensible sections and floating magnetic spacer discs. Used bowden tube and brake wires for backbone and nylon wires as tendons. This project is guided by Prof. Aditya Bandopadhyay.

3-DoF Robot Arm [Jun 2022 – Aug 2022]

Built a 3-Degrees of Freedom Robotic Arm and manufactured from scratch. We are using 3D printed, machined parts and Arduino UNO micro controller. This project is guided by Prof. Aditya Bandopadhyay.

Smart Particle Image Velocimetry [Sep'22 - Oct'22]

Developed software using Python to predict flow velocities of Two Dimensional flow by analysing images with Continuous Wave Laser

Electric Stethoscope [Feb'22] - DIY Lab

Designed a low-cost, portable and electric stethoscope with essential electric components and prototyped using FDM

Stress Analysis of Bike Crank under Human Load [Jul'22] - Course Project

Developed a solution to a 3D structural Mechanics problem using Ansys Mechanical and determined stress distribution in the crank. Also, validated the results improving the design.

Garage Door Mechanism [Nov'22] - Course Project

A simulator for a garage door mechanism that does not have any prismatic/higher kinematic pair, and occupies less space to remain open.

Industrial Training - Engineer's India Limited [Dec'22 - Jan'23]

My responsibilities encompassed planning, scheduling, and monitoring various aspects of the project, from reviewing erection schemes for equipment ranging from 100 MT to 1200 MT to supervising fit-up reports of piping and fireproofing structural members. The meticulous attention given to disciplines such as construction supervision, quality assurance, and HSE management ensured the successful execution of this training.

Research Intern in Microfluidics Lab, IIT Kharagpur [May'22 - Jul'22]

Supervisor : Prof. Prashanta Kumar Das & Prof. Aditya Bandopadyay
Aimed to predict path of oil droplets on water surface, using a wedge body model of solid mechanics. Examined the droplet trajectory by performing the ripple tank experiment and used image processing techniques.
